Day 2 – Prayer & Fasting Blog (Teamwork)

Teamwork makes the dream work!
imagery: The front of the boat has a drummer ….God is seeing a rhythm/ pace that we all need
to get into. The rowers in the boat have their oars and there is a technique and skill needed in order for them to be able to move in unity to effectively and efficiently move the boat forward. If one/ few of the oarsman row out of sync with the others then the boat will be pulled off course.  It is important that we understand the pace that God wants us to move at. You also have the Helmsman at the back of the boat with rudder steering
the ship…this is the

Spirit of God guiding us in the direction that we need to go.

Inspired by Genesis
11:1-8 Tower of Babel

ONE MIND: That of Christ Phil. 2:5 ‘Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.’
Let what we speak and
do, be Spirit led.

STABLE FORM: Made and processed…….. Isaiah 64: ‘We are the clay and You are the poXer, we are all the work of your hand.’ We are going through the process of reshaping and remoulding by the working of the Holy Spirit.

JOINED & SEALED:
Ephesians
2:4&30…’there is one body and one spirit’…’and do not grieve the Holy Spirit by which you were sealed and marked.
We are joined together in the body of Christ and sealed to
withstand the storm

HUMILITY: Ephesians
4:3…’to live a life worthy of the calling to which you have been called’. We need to remain humble and not exalt self nor lose sight that all that we do is for God’s glory not man’s gain.

EVIDENCE: Ephesians
4:3 Make every effort to keep the oneness of the Spirit in the bond of peace’. There should be evidence of the unity and evidence of our determination…but above all the spirit of peace should All preside.

SHARING: Matthew
28:19-20 The Great Commission.

The Great Commission is about us not holding unto what we have received and experienced through Christ Jesus.

What we receive is to be shared…we ‘pass the baton’ by empowering others,
helping others to come up a little higher in the things of God.

Prayer Points:

  1. Humility
  2. Unity
  3. Stability
  4. One Mind
  5. Unselfishness
